When Mr. Potts and I started to plan our big vacation this year we knew we wanted to go somewhere warm and that we wanted a full week.
I wanted to be able to really relax & just let go and not worry about anything. The Mayan Riviera was just that. Relaxed, let go, no worries....good times.
While the majority of you were getting hit with yet another winter storm, the view below is what we saw every day. Blue skies, bright blue ocean and either man-made lagoons or pools with temperatures in the mid-80's.

The Aventura Spa Palace is a place that I would highly recommend to anyone. The service was fabulous, the resort was beautiful, the food was good. Perfect place to stay.

Does the dress above look familiar? I've gotten a ton of wear out of that one!
We danced the night away & had a few drinks, hence the silly face below. Poor Mr. Potts didn't know I was making that one or he may have played along!

Mr. Potts engaged in a bit of rock climbing on the rock climbing wall that overlooked the ocean. We laughed that he was like a spider monkey, the way he just scampered up those rocks!

We saw sailboats & catamarans daily. We also went to a guacamole demonstration. Best ever!!!

Mr. Potts and our friend played a lot of ping-pong in the pool. Note the drinks on either end of the table. They're pro's I tell ya!

It was all fun and games until a flock of seagulls swarmed a plate of leftover chips and queso (whoops!) and Mr. Potts got a little something extra to go with his sunscreen. Poor thing - this makes the 3rd or 4th time that a seagull has gotten him. Makes him lucky, right?

The best meal there was the Mexican restaurant. Loved everything about it from the table side fresh guac to the mariachi band to the company. Hands down, best food there.

A view from one of the pools. This is where we spent the majority of our time. It was just too perfect not to.

Dinner our last night. Pre-humidity hair. Can you tell I went a bit darker with the color the last time?

In the Cancun airport. Tired, but happy. And definitely ready for my own bed & pillow!

Happy Monday everyone!
