As I was getting ready for bed last night I realized I look like an alligator. My skin is so dry & flaky - I think due to the sun from our cruise, the lack of heat at my MIL's house & then from Mr. Potts running our gas fireplace.I slathered on the lotion and thought about the fact that I could be irritated by this (although, truthfully, only a little irritated because it isn't really that big of a deal) or I could choose to focus on the positive aspects of my life. Because really, don't we all need to be reminded of what is so positive about us sometimes?
I'm going today after work to spend the evening with my mom and the munchkins. I'll most likely help sweet niece with her "homework" and work with her on her flashcards - number & letter identification. I'm thankful that I'll get to spend some extra time with them this week.
In the spirit of considering all I have to be thankful for, I realized that I'm thankful for you all. I've met many wonderful people through this and I never thought I would. Your comments & suggestions lift my spirits sometimes. Your posts make me tear up, cry, feel proud to be your friend and sometimes spit water out of my nose (thanks Brittany Ann and your Workout Wednesdays!).
