Wishful Wednesday

Welcome to another edition of Wishful Wednesday, brought to you by Kelsey over at The Seattle Smith's.

This week's Wishful Wednesday is, "I Wish...I could change one physical trait about myself & it would be..."

Haven't we all thought about this as women? When I was younger & before everyone seemed to become so body conscious, my answer would have been my nose. I always felt like it stood out of my face (well, duh, it does!). Since those days, however, I feel as if I've grown into my nose. Although sometimes during allergy weather, I'd like to be able to just chop it off. Mr. Potts assures me that he would still love me. Ha!

I used to think I'd like to be taller. You know, it's easier for taller women to carry a little extra weight. I mean, I look at a donut & my stomach bloats! Then, I met Mr. Potts and he is only an inch or two taller than me (which actually is pretty telling about when we met, but that's another conversation). I wouldn't wish to change my height anymore - although he is very self-confident & wouldn't care, I like leaning into his shoulder.

If I could do it, no pain involved, I'd zap these veins on my leg. They're the veins in my calves that I think are the result of years of standing on jobs (retail, food, etc) while younger. They also could be hereditary. Either way, I'd like to get rid of them. They're a pretty trivial thing, but I hate the way they look.
If you've ever had this done, any advice?

I have to note that I deliberately chose on my part not to pick any issues that things I'm personally working on. These things (slimming down, firming up, etc) are things that I can partially control & I can't wait for the day when I say, "I did it!!"

I would make my feet smaller! I'm tired of trying to find cute shoes in a size 10 or 11!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I agree with MCW that being taller does help with the weight thing because I feel like being short it has no where to go!!! :)

Just stopping by from The Seattle Smith's, I too am always wishing for just a couple more inches. Roomie has about 2 inches on me, so I always call her out to the kitchen to get things out of the top of the cabinets. lol

I go back and forth on the height thing. I wouldn't mind being taller because a few pounds wouldn't show, but I love being 10 inches shorter than the hubs and nuzzling in his great big chest!

I def would love to get rid of some varicose veins or shave down the hump on my nose. One of those! Or a boob job. This is hard.

I have some weird viens on my legs too...they are not very noticable now but I bet they will get worse. My dad has a lot of them, so that must be where I got them!

We learn to like all of our qualities with time because they make us unique right?! With that being said ... I want to be taller too :)

I also have one of those unsightly veins. I talked to my doctor about it recently and she suggested a laser vein specialist. I asked her if it hurt and she said she has never heard that it does. I am going to look into it in 2010.

Are you talking about varicose veins?? I have started to get them too! My Gram has them REALLY bad, and I was told they are hereditary. My friend had the procedure to get hers removed. They stick this long string like thing up the vein. It is expensive, but not too painful. Some insurance companies will pay for the procedure.
I would like to be taller- only so I look thinner! Ha.

Hello there! Thanks for swinging by my blog! You have a new friend in me :)

My nose has been broken twice so it's a little off balance so that's why I would change mine personally.

Veins in your legs huh? That's a good one!

"I always felt like it stood out of my face (well, duh, it does!)." Hahaha I love it! I didn't even think about the veins in my legs while doing my post but now that you mention it, I'd be one happy lady if I could eliminate them! Along with the cellulite.

Thanks so much for your sweet comment on my post, it absolutely made my day! And I think you're pretty amazing yourself! XOXO
