Sorry to have disappeared for the week. The session I delivered with my co-worker was taxing and tiring.
There were no obvious insults this week, but several lightly veiled ones. I believe this woman will never change - she thinks she is perfect. Ugh. I get to come home today! Although I was woken up at 3:30am by an automated message that my flight was delayed.
I have a baby shower to attend this coming Saturday. I tend to give a gift like this:
I like to try and give gifts that I know will be useful. You can always use towels, bath things, diapers and onesies!
Also, I just found out that my best friend in New Orleans (he was almost in my wedding - he said he'd shave his legs, but not his beard. Had to cut him then.) will be having a new addition due around the 24th of December! I'm so excited for him and his wife.
What are some of your favorite gifts to give for baby showers?

Cute gifts!
Diapers, Diapers, and the Little Giraffe blankets. Both of my sons have two of them and will not go to sleep without them. Can say that they are great, wished I had one.
Love what you've picked! I love to give useful things, too - diapers, wipes, sometimes I put together a bath set in a little bathtub that acts as the basket. I always throw in at least ONE fun thing, though!
that is such a fabulous gift! i can't wait for my baby showers and to receive such great (and much needed) items for our baby.
I'm with you on the useful gifts! More people are registering for babies now so that usually makes it pretty easy. Glad you get to come home! There's nothing like your own comfy bed!
i always look for unique things, and of course clothes. I probably should give more useful things haha

Those are so cute! Not my idea, but at a shower recently I saw a "cake" made out of diapers, a baby blanket, and wash cloths. It was topped with a teething ring. It was so flippin' cute!
That co-worker is the pits. Sometimes I just repeat to myself "you are getting paid" - the only thing that gets me through sometimes!
I love to give receiving blankets. They always keep them forever! Congrats to your friend! I'm glad you survived your co-worker!
