Our annual holiday party is coming up on the 19th. This will be our third holiday party and we're really excited about it. I thought the evite I put together was just too cute not to share. I used the picture above and the text below.
We have one of our friends come in who loves to tend bar and he always puts together the best drink list. We put out a huge spread of food and simply ask that people show up to have a great time.
Last year our party was a Post Holiday, Holiday Party (since we had just gotten married in November) with a Bad Gift Exchange where everyone had to bring the worst gift they'd gotten for Christmas. There were some very bad gifts indeed.
I'll share the planned menu with you later this week, so if you have any ideas for great appetizers that you serve at parties, please feel free to share!
With no further ado, our Holiday Party Evite!

I LOVE IT! What an amazing invitation! That invitation is reason enough to go! your guests will love it!
too fun!
Love it!
I just hosted a holiday cookie swap this past weekend. For snacks, we had deviled eggs, pigs in blankets, cheese and crackers, hummus and pita, those little pizza rolls, and a few other things.
One thing that I love, but didn't make this time-
asparagus wrapped in roast beef. take a pound or so of asparagus and blanch it, then quickly put it into a dish of iced water. take a slice of roast beef (thin sliced, from the deli) and spread boursin cheese on it, and then wrap the asparagus in it. so easy, and so good!
I LOVE IT!! How creative and fun!!
I bet you are amazing hosts!
For an app. This does not SOUND that delish, BUT, I swear, it is the first dip/app to get DEVOURED EVERY.SINGLE. TIME I bring it somewhere.
It is buffalo chicken dip.
Cream cheese spread on bottom of glass pyrex is what I use.
Chicken Shredded (I boil the chix then shred it up) Add Buffalo sauce –Red hot I think I use. Blue cheese dressing. Mix in some shredded cheese and pour that over cream cheese. Put more cheese on top and put in oven. I will look up the time if you are interested.
Sometimes, I make it spicy, sometimes I make it mild. IT IS really good and really fattening!
I love it...you are so darn cute and creative. I know it is sure to be a great time. I can't wait to hear all about it and see the pictures.

LOL! Oh my gosh, yet ANOTHER reason--no wait, TWO other reasons to adore you completely:
1. WE entertain and throw parties all the time. SERIOUSLY. All the time.
2. I like to write poems too!
Here's one I made up on the spot for you:
Roses are red
Violets are blue
The Pottses like to party
And the Hobbses do too!
LOL! That was lame.
So fun! Y'all are so creative!
